PM21 COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

We are carefully planning a safe event for everyone to enjoy.

Along with the rest of the world, Podcast Movement’s world was turned upside down by the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020, and in the first part of 2021. That said, we are excited about the possibility to be together again in-person with as many of you as possible this August in Nashville.

Gaylord Opryland Safety Policies

The Gaylord Opryland is a part of the Marriott family of hotels, and has established protocols for all of their properties to do at a minimum. These protocols likely will evolve as the event draws closer, but you can use the links below to explore what they currently have in place.

Other Safety Related Questions

We know you might have a lot of questions or uncertainty. We understand, we do too! Here we’ll do our best to let you know everything that we know, and also be clear about what’s still up in the air.

What Covid Protocols will be in place?

First and foremost, we will follow all hotel guidelines and regulations that are in place at the time of the event. See above for more details on what the current hotel guidance is (MARRIOTT COMMITMENT TO CLEAN & CONNECT WITH CONFIDENCE). Additionally we will follow safety measures based on the CDC guidance at the time of the event.

What is the mask policy?

As mentioned above where we discuss the protocols that will be in place, we will be following CDC, hotel, and other government guidelines for masks and overall safety.

As of now, the CDC recommends masks. be worn by attendees of large indoor events, and we will be following that reccomendation

Masks will be provided for all attendees, regardless of the enforcement policy at the time.

Do I need a vaccine to attend the event?

As mentioned above where we discuss the protocols that will be in place, we will be following hotel and state guidelines. We do not plan to require attendees to provide proof of a vaccine unless required by the CDC.

If I select in-person attendance, but end up having to change to virtual, can I do that?

Yes! You have until July 3 to let us know if you'd like us to convert your attendance to be virtual instead. Please note due to the nature of event production costs, we won't be able to provide any refund if the pass you registered for was a higher price than a virtual pass. You can read more about the difference between in-person and virtual access here.

If I buy an in-person pass, will I be guaranteed a seat in every session that I want to attend?

Right now this is one of our biggest unknowns. We normally can spot a popular session by how many rows of people there are standing in the back of the room. However we anticipate having to strictly enforce ballroom capacities as required by the hotel. We will do our best to accommodate all attendees, but will encourage you to arrive early at any sessions you don't want to miss!

What happens if the event does not happen at all due to Covid?

We do not anticipate this happening. However if we cannot hold an event with an in-person component in 2021, you will have the option of a refund, or we will roll your pass over to one of our 2022 events of your choice. If the event is indeed held with an in-person component, then there will be no refunds for those who cannot make it, however we'll gladly convert your pass to a Virtual one (see above).
